MIAMI BEACH PIANO STUDIO

Student Enrollment Agreement & Studio Policies

Welcome to Miami Beach Piano Studio. Our mission is to provide exceptional piano education in a positive, inspiring, and professional environment. By enrolling in lessons, students (or parents/legal guardians of minor students) agree to the following policies.

1. Enrollment

Enrollment is confirmed after:

  • Completion of the registration form;

  • Acceptance of these Studio Policies;

  • Payment of the applicable lesson fees.

The Studio reserves the right to accept or decline enrollment at its discretion.

2. Lesson Location & Format

All lessons are conducted at:

Miami Beach Piano Studio
335 Ocean Drive, Unit A
Miami Beach, FL 33139

unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Lessons are provided individually unless otherwise specified.

Instruction may include:

  • Piano Performance

  • Music Theory

  • Ear Training

  • Sight Reading

  • Technique

  • Improvisation

  • Performance Preparation

Lesson length depends on the selected program.

3. Tuition & Payment

Lesson tuition is communicated to students prior to enrollment.

Payment is due in advance unless another arrangement has been approved by the Studio.

Tuition reserves the instructor’s scheduled lesson time and the student’s place in the Studio schedule.

Late or missed payments may result in suspension of future lessons.

Miami Beach Piano Studio reserves the right to adjust tuition fees with reasonable advance notice.

4. Cancellation & Make-Up Policy

Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons.

  • Lessons cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson are not refundable and are considered completed.

  • Students may receive one (1) make-up lesson per calendar month for lessons cancelled at least 24 hours in advance or due to illness, subject to instructor availability.

  • Make-up lessons have no cash value, are not transferable, and cannot be accumulated.

  • No-shows are not eligible for refunds or make-up lessons.

If the Studio cancels a lesson, a make-up lesson or lesson credit will be provided.

5. Late Arrival

Students arriving late will receive the remaining scheduled lesson time.

Lessons cannot be extended beyond the scheduled ending time.

6. Online Lessons

If a student is unable to attend in person because of illness, travel, severe weather, or other reasonable circumstances, the Studio may offer an online lesson at its discretion.

7. Practice Expectations

Weekly lessons alone do not ensure progress.

Students are expected to practice regularly between lessons and follow the instructor’s recommendations.

Consistent home practice is an essential part of musical development.

8. Parent Responsibilities

Parents or guardians are expected to:

  • bring students to lessons on time;

  • provide a suitable practice environment at home;

  • maintain a functioning piano or properly weighted 88-key digital piano whenever possible;

  • encourage regular practice.

Parents of minor children remain responsible for their children before and immediately after each scheduled lesson.

Miami Beach Piano Studio is not a childcare facility.

Parents may attend lessons for young beginners when appropriate. As students become more independent, instructors may recommend lessons without parent participation.

9. Student Conduct & Studio Etiquette

Students are expected to:

  • arrive on time;

  • treat instructors and other students respectfully;

  • silence mobile phones during lessons;

  • wash hands before playing;

  • avoid food and drinks near the piano;

  • use Studio equipment carefully;

  • maintain appropriate indoor behavior;

  • refrain from running or disruptive behavior inside the Studio.

Disruptive, disrespectful, abusive, or unsafe behavior may result in immediate termination of lessons.

10. Health Policy

Students experiencing contagious illness—including fever, flu symptoms, COVID-19, stomach illness, or other infectious conditions—should not attend in-person lessons.

When appropriate, an online lesson may be offered.

11. Studio Property

Students are responsible for treating all Studio instruments, furniture, books, equipment, and facilities with care.

Any intentional or negligent damage may result in financial responsibility for repair or replacement.

12. Photography & Media Release

Miami Beach Piano Studio may photograph or record lessons, recitals, concerts, and educational events.

Unless written notice is provided requesting otherwise, the Studio may use photographs and video recordings for educational, promotional, and marketing purposes, including the Studio website, printed materials, and social media.

Personal contact information will never be shared.

13. Communication

The Studio communicates primarily through email, text message, and telephone.

Students and parents are responsible for keeping their contact information current.

14. Non-Solicitation of Instructors

Miami Beach Piano Studio invests significant time and resources in recruiting, training, and supporting its instructors.

Students and parents agree that they will not:

  • encourage or request Studio instructors to provide private lessons outside Miami Beach Piano Studio;

  • offer employment or independent teaching opportunities to Studio instructors outside the Studio;

  • arrange private lessons directly with any current Studio instructor while enrolled at Miami Beach Piano Studio or for twelve (12) months following the student’s last lesson with the Studio.

Any scheduling, lesson arrangements, or instructor assignments must be made exclusively through Miami Beach Piano Studio.

15. Termination

Either the Studio or the student may discontinue lessons at any time.

Outstanding balances remain payable after termination.

The Studio reserves the right to discontinue instruction due to:

  • repeated missed lessons;

  • non-payment;

  • inappropriate behavior;

  • harassment;

  • failure to comply with these policies.

16. Liability

Students participate in lessons and Studio activities at their own risk.

While every reasonable effort is made to provide a safe learning environment, Miami Beach Piano Studio and ArtGrand LLC shall not be liable for personal injury, accidents, loss, theft, or damage to personal property except where required by applicable law.

17. Governing Law
